Choice Foundation Names Peggy Healy Stearns to their Sandbox Summit
Advisory Board
Peggy
has been named to the Advisory
Board of the Sandbox
Summit™, a project of the Parents’
Choice Foundation™. The Sandbox Summit promotes
research that addresses how technology affects the ways kids
play, learn, and connect in today’s world. The group also
organizes high-energy panels, hands-on demonstrations, and conferences.
The goal of the Sandbox Summit ™ is to ensure that the
next generation of players becomes active innovators rather
than passive consumers of technology

Stationery
Studio, designed by Peggy with art by Peter H. Reynolds,
was named ALA Notable Software for 2007 by the
American Library Association. This is the latest accolade for
Stationery Studio, an innovative program that is really
two tools in one – an introductory word processor and
a tool for creating stationery with customized lines and layouts

continues to feature Peggy’s software!
Children’s
Museum of the Treasure Coast: Peggy is enjoying connecting
with kids through her volunteer work with the soon-to-open Children’s
Museum of the Treasure Coast and their “Dig It”
outreach program in the schools, which introduces children to
archeology and the Ais Indians. The Children’s Museum exhibits,
designed by the same folks who created Disney World, will feature
numerous interactive exhibits including a full size Spanish Galleon.
